Who we are
JourneyListo is independent practice-exam software for the Texas journeyman electrician exam. Based in Florida, USA. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, if you type it in to get your results by email, or when you buy the Rescue Pass through our payment provider.
- Your diagnostic: the 4 “about you” choices (attempts so far, which part you need, exam date, study language), the choice you picked on each of the 12 calculation questions, and your scores.
- Your Rescue Pass account (members only): the email from your Stripe checkout, your practice progress (questions answered, right or wrong, and scores by topic), your mock exam results, and what you type into the AI tutor.
- Visit and campaign data: the UTM tags in the link you clicked (for example
utm_sourceorutm_campaign), whether you arrived from a Facebook ad click (yes or no only; we don’t store the click ID), the address of the website that sent you (without its query string), the page language, a random session ID, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string. - Funnel events: page views, the sample question, starting and finishing the diagnostic, each question answered (right or wrong), viewing the offer and clicking the buy button.
We don’t ask for your name, phone number, home address, license number, or anything about ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, union membership or income. We don’t send marketing text messages.
Payments
The Rescue Pass is sold through Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details under its own privacy policy, including when you pay with Apple Pay, Cash App Pay or Klarna (which have their own policies too). We never see or store your full card number. We receive your email, the amount, and a random reference ID that links the purchase to your visit. We never put personal data in links.
The member area
- Your account: we create it from the email you used at Stripe checkout.
- Signing in: there’s no password. We email you a sign-in link at the address on your account.
- Login cookie: when you sign in, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in on that device for 30 days. The member area needs it to work, and we don’t use it for ads.
- Your progress: your practice history, progress by topic and mock exam results are stored in our Cloudflare D1 database in the United States, so you can pick up where you left off on any device.
The AI tutor
When you tap “Explain this” and ask something, we send the question you typed and the text of the practice question to our AI provider (Anthropic, or Cloudflare Workers AI) to write the reply. Please don’t type personal information into the tutor. The tutor is software and can be wrong; check the NEC article it points to.
Meta Pixel
When it’s turned on, our site loads the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. It records page views and a few actions: finishing the diagnostic, leaving your email, and clicking the buy button. We don’t send your email address or your quiz results to Meta through the pixel, and automatic form matching is turned off. You can switch the pixel off with the notice at the bottom of the page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the pixel doesn’t load at all. Meta’s use of this data is covered by Meta’s own policies.
Cookies and browser storage
The public pages don’t set cookies of their own. They keep a random session ID and your diagnostic progress in your browser (progress expires after 7 days), and they keep your latest diagnostic results there so the Rescue Pass can build your plan. The member area sets the login cookie described above. If the Meta Pixel is on, Meta sets its own cookies. You can clear all of this in your browser settings.
How we use it
- To show your results and, if you ask, email them with your study plan and occasional study tips.
- To give you access to the Rescue Pass, sign you in, save your progress and run the AI tutor.
- To see which ads and pages work, and to improve the diagnostic and the practice questions.
- To reply when you write to us, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
Where it’s stored and who helps us
The site runs on Cloudflare, and your data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in the United States. Service providers that process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, database, email routing and sending, Workers AI), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI tutor) and Meta (ad measurement, only when the pixel is on).
We don’t sell your data
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it with others for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep diagnostic data for up to 24 months after your last visit, Rescue Pass progress for as long as your account exists, and purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Your choices and rights
- Every results or marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. One click and you’re off the list. Sign-in links and receipts are sent only when you need them.
- Write to [email protected] to see, correct, export or delete your data, or to opt out of ad measurement. We reply within 45 days. If we say no to a request, you can reply to appeal and we’ll review it again.
- Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising.
Children
JourneyListo is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 gave us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS, limit who can access data, and work with established providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send us anything you don’t need to.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the new date at the top. Questions or requests: [email protected].
